Evaluation and quality assurance in IntlUni

The IntlUni Evaluation Board recently took part in the IntlUni workshop event and All-Partner meeting in Braga, Portugal on 5-7 November 2014. We asked members of the Evaluation Board for their thoughts on the project, that is, results of the Workshop and 5th Partner Meeting in Braga as well as how they see the project developing.

Krista Varantola, Chancellor emerita, Tampere University, FI and Chair of Evaluation Board:

The workshop turned out to be very useful. It was a kind of test‐bed for justifying the Intluni approach. The critical comments from representatives of similar projects helped the project partners to crystallize the aims of IntlUni by generating arguments in support of the IntlUni approach and its bottom‐up premises”.

Regis Ritz, former Rector, Université Michel de Montaigne - Bordeaux, FR:

We consider ourselves as ‘critical friends’ of IntlUni”.

“The project is well run in a constructive and problem‐oriented, problem‐solving fashion. The project partners are active and contributing to the outcomes. Karen (IntlUni Coordinator) is an excellent example of how to lead and manage an “international classroom” – such a large-scale European network - in an inspirational fashion”.

Arthur Mettinger, Rector, FH Campus Wien University of Applied Sciences, AT:

„I have been highly impressed by the richness of ideas that have been produced in the course of this project, the collaborative spirit of the group, and the coherence of the suggestions for successfully implementing measures for good intercultural learning experiences"

Karen M. Lauridsen, IntlUni Coordinator, Aarhus University, DK:

The feedback from the Evaluation Board is an important factor in the IntlUni quality assurance measures and is highly appreciated by everyone in the project. The points made by members of the Evaluation Board during the meeting and in their subsequent report form an excellent checklist for what needs to be included as we develop the third and final year of the project.”
