Our next IntlUni all partner meeting is coming up and we greatly appreciate that the University of Lausanne will be hosting this meeting.

From best practice to principles for quality

This forth all partner meeting will be a great opportunity for the 38 network partners to discuss and further develop the current results of Work Package 4, which focuses on the identification of examples of successful practice and quality criteria for teaching and learning practices in the Multilingual, Multicultural Learning Space (MMLS).

Building on 89 examples of good practice received by the partners, the three Work Packages Leaders Kevin Haines, University of Groningen (NL), Thomas Vogel, European University Viarina Frankfurt (Oder; DE) and Stacey Cozart, University of Aarhus (DK), will present the current development of principles (draft work) for quality criteria that should characterise teaching and learning in the multilingual and multicultural learning space of international programmes.

Furthermore at the Lausanne meeting, Dr. Brigitte Forster Vosicki (MAGICC  Project Coordinator), will present the results of the LLP MAGICC project - Modularising Multilingual and Multicultural Academic Communication Competence to the IntlUni partner representatives.

In addition, the meeting in Lausanne also gives the IntlUni partners an excellent chance to exchange and share ideas, learn about best practices and discuss current developments within the field of ‘Internationalisation at Home’.

After Lausanne meeting

The next stage of the project, will be devoted to the writing of a synthesis report, the development of a second version of the quality criteria and the development of a first set of (draft) recommendations.  These draft recommendations are to be presented and discussed at the workshop and partner meeting in Minho / Braga (PT) in November 2014. On that occasion, external experts within Higher Education will participate in the workshop and offer their feedback to the draft IntlUni results.

Further details about the IntlUni project may be found on the IntlUni website or our Facebook and Twitter profiles.

We at the IntlUni secretariat in Aarhus look forward to seeing a lot of our IntlUni colleagues again in Lausanne for yet another fruitful and interesting IntlUni Network meeting.
